Speaking at a press conference with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Vladimir Putin said Russia is willing to stop hostilities but only under specific conditions. He emphasized that the ceasefire must not be used by Ukraine to mobilize troops or receive weapons from the West.
He also raised concerns about the line of contact, ongoing Russian offensives, and ensuring proper monitoring of any ceasefire violations.
Putin added that, in his view, Ukraine should have long ago requested a ceasefire from the US.
